Kumkum Mathur Dilwali

Kumkum Mathur Dilwali, a recognized voice in Greater Boston since 1978, is not only an accomplished vocalist, but has actively engaged with notable Indian community organizations, e.g. IAGB, UIANE, Shishu Bharati, Saheli, AASRA, and others. Born and raised in the US, she graduated from MIT and Harvard in chemical engineering and environmental health management. She has volunteered for years as an MIT Educational Counselor and mentors women in math, science, and engineering. Joining the IAFPE leadership is her next step towards increasing resilience among the next generation of Indian-Americans.

Kumkum currently heads Integrative Sciences LLC, a professional consultancy practice in healthcare sustainability, where she manages multi-year projects to support the US Department of Health and Human Services. The Substances of Concern Reduction Initiative she led for NIH was awarded the 2014 Presidential GreenGov award. She is Director of Operations for Joshi Medical Services PC in Billerica and Lowell, Massachusetts. A building scientist, past Senior Director for the nonprofit Green Guide for Health Care/ Health Care Without Harm, and former Director of Safety at Emerson Hospital, she served as the LEED-Accredited Professional so Brigham and Women’s Shapiro Cardiovascular Center could achieve LEED-Silver, a first in this region.

A recipient of the Lokvani 2011 Community Catalyst award, Kumkum released her first musical CD “Devotion,” and is creating ElderConnections, a sustainable network that supports our elders and their caregivers through timely access to information, people, and resources. Sanjay Kudrimoti

Sanjay Kudrimoti is faculty at Bertolon School of Business, Salem State University since 2007. He earned his PhD in Business (Finance) from University of South Florida, Tampa. Prior to this he worked for Morgan Stanley and for Asian Paints when living in India.

Sanjay has been active with community service and has had varied interests. He was an active volunteer for Association for India’s Development (www.aid.org) and served as chapter Secretary (Portland, OR) in years 2000-2001. While at USF, Tampa he was on the board of Students of India Association (SIA-USF). More recently he has taken up stage acting. He is an active cast member with Stage Ensemble Theater Unit (www.setu-usa.com) and played key acting roles in SETU’s last three productions (Mahabharata, Shahjahan and Once Upon a Time Not in Bollywood). Additionally, he has also contributed as an actor on stage with Hindi Manch. In 2015 he formed a new neighborhood organization – Lynnfield Indian Association.

Sanjay Kudrimoti is passionate about politics and recognizes the importance of active involvement in town and local politics. His other interests include running and reading non-fiction. Currently he is the President of Indian American Forum for Political Education – MA.

Monie Malhotra

A graduate of Lady Hardinge Medical College, Dr Malhotra specialized in Neuroradiology with trainings at Lahey Clinic and Brigham and Women’s Hospitals. She has held staff positions at Lahey clinic, University of Massachusetts Medical center and VA hospitals in Boston MA and Providence RI., with academic appointments with Brown University RI, Harvard and Tufts Universities in Boston and U Mass in Worcester. She was the first asian female faculty staff member at Lahey clinic.

Dr Malhotra served in the medical core of USAR as Lt. Col. She has published in medical literature and presented her work at national level.

Dr Malhotra has served with Indian Medical Association of New England, among other offices, as President and chair of Board of Trustees. She had also revitalized the IMANE Woman’s Forum and formed Past Presidents’Society, while serving as member at large and helped organize various symposia and meetings.

Additionally she pursued a parallel path in fine arts taking art classes in India and Boston area, including MFA Boston.

She is now involved with Malco Art Center in North Attleboro Ma, providing art and music interaction and classes for the local community. She is involved as a member with the Local Rotary Club activities and culture council.
